Surrealism
The Centre Pompidou celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of the surrealist movement by dedicating a major exhibition to it, retracing 40 years of artistic creation. The exhibition route unfolds in the form of a spiral, beginning with the presentation of the Surrealist Manifesto published in 1924 by André Breton and marking the birth of this artistic movement. The exhibition tells the story of surrealism by presenting its major works, its favourite themes and the literary authors who inspired it.
